Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about integrating and scaling with PRNT Screenshot API.

How does the PRNT Screenshot API work?

PRNT operates a global cluster of isolated, headless Chrome instances. When you submit a request, our engine navigates to the target URL, executes JavaScript, waits for fonts and assets to finish rendering, removes ads/cookie popups, and captures a high-resolution screenshot in seconds.

How does intelligent full-page scrolling work?

Our auto-scroll engine progressively navigates down the page to trigger all IntersectionObservers, lazy-loaded images, and sticky header deductions, stitching together a single full-height image up to 15,000px.

Which image formats and viewports are supported?

We support PNG, JPEG, WebP, and PDF formats. You can customize viewport dimensions (e.g. 1920x1080, 375x812), device scale factors (@2x, @3x Retina), and emulation modes.

Can I hide GDPR/CCPA cookie banners and ads?

Yes! PRNT includes an integrated ad-blocking engine and filter lists that automatically hide consent dialogs, newsletter popups, and third-party advertising prior to capture.

What is the average response time?

Average rendering time is between 1.2 and 2.5 seconds depending on target page complexity. Cached requests are served from our edge CDN within milliseconds.

Is there a free tier for developers?

Yes! All accounts receive 100 free screenshot captures every month with no credit card required.

What are the API rate limits?

Starter plan allows 60 requests/min, Pro plan allows 300 requests/min, and Enterprise plan provides dedicated clusters up to 1,200 requests/min.

Can I inject custom JavaScript or CSS?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise tiers you can use the custom_js and custom_css parameters to manipulate the DOM, click buttons, or override styling before taking the screenshot.
